I love the concept and Rossy's unique way of empowering women through her art.
I'm still feeling mystified and a bit giddy with the whole thing. The magical eye that sees things I can't see. Rossy's solar energy and kindness, which made a shy subject like me feel at ease, wondering is this me?
While it took me out of my comfort zone, it's such a great exercise in loving and simply being oneself. I hope more women will subject themselves to Rossy's loving camera.
I was honored to be one of Rossy's picks in the 3 plus things project. It helped me self-reflect on the things I love about myself and taught me that I should be proud of having them within me. Many times, with our busy schedules and stressful lives, we tend to overlook the blessings we have received and earned and only complain about the things we lack. However, I believe that it is extremely important to self love and this begins with making a note of things we love about ourselves and nurturing them.
I already have my top 3, thanks to this project and am hoping to keep expanding it till I feel good about myself. This is an amazing and empowering project and I highly recommend being a part of this and gaining wonderful insights from Rossy!
My 3+ things experience was amazing. It helped me practice becoming more loving towards myself in a society that conditions women to shrink themselves to fit into strict standards. We are so much bigger and greater!
I couldn't help but think: Wow, this could be life changing! It's gong to help us find that in ourselves. After my 3+ things experience, I recognized it was a movement, and will teach us to remember that we were born perfect regardless of what society tells us.
I instantly picked up on Rossy's beautiful energy when meeting with her. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute working and shooting pictures of empowerment and strength with her. She was also able to pull out my softer side, which was also important for me to see because I have lost that through time in a hardened society.
I want to thank Rossy for including me in this amazing and brilliant project. And most importantly, I would recommend this to all!
Shooting with Rossy: She makes it so easy.
We went riding down the streets of LA scanning the city for a mural we’d found online.
From there, everything was fluid. She caught all the in between and accidental moments that coincidentally turned out to be perfect photo opps. She tossed creative ideas and concepts to me which I didn’t feel pressure to go with if it wasn’t for me.
I was mentally hesitant to vocalize the things I like about myself; or even speak aloud about how I’d describe myself or how I’m perceived. BUT HERE WE ARE! (lol)
Not sure what I was expecting but definitely had a lot of fun creating with Rossy.
Rossy has a great way of spending the time to capture the essence of each moment. We spent a while together because she made two trips to see me. She kept working until she captured the moment.
I would highly recommend this process because everyone should acknowledge what they love about themselves and why.
Rossy, it was really great to see myself through your eyes, not just via pictures but also through your description of me.
I wasn't comfortable with being photographed, and having the photos displayed publicly, even though I knew that was what I was signing up for. I wasn't comfortable because I hadn't reached some personal fitness goals and I knew I expected to not like how I looked in the pictures.
I did it anyway because I love you and I'm comfortable being fully "seen" by you, and because I appreciated the purpose behind the project. What you are doing is part of my personal value system (believing that we need to love ourselves more than we do). I also did it to challenge myself, that if I really believe in loving ourselves that this would be a way to show myself that unconditional love that I show others. I don't stop valuing people because they haven't reached their fitness goals, or because they gained weight...so why should I do that to myself?
